WestBengal CM #MamataBanerjee walks out of the #NitiAayog meeting.
She alleged her mic was switched off after 5 mins, whereas other CMs were allowed more time to speak.
CM @MamataOfficial boycotted the #NITI Aayog meeting as she was asked to stop speaking after five minutes .She said she was the lone voice of the opposition.
She asked about financial power in Niti Ayog else starts planning commission .There can’t be discrimination further added.
On NITI Aayog meeting in Delhi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee says, “…I said you (central government) should not discriminate against state governments. I wanted to speak but I was allowed to speak only for 5 minutes. People before me spoke for 10-20 minutes. I was the only one from the opposition who was participating but still, I was not allowed to speak. This is insulting…”
“I don’t have a problem if they allocate more funds to some states… I told them that the Centre only gives instructions and it is the job of states to do the work at the ground. You only gave instructions during the COVID-19 crisis, and it were the states who handled everything. I told them that they have withheld Rs 1.72 lakh crore of our fund, and this amount will only increase this year,” says West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee (@MamataOfficial) after arriving in Kolkata.
Earlier today, Banerjee walked out of a Niti Aayog meeting chaired by PM Modi in New Delhi and claimed that she was unfairly stopped midway in her speech, despite being the sole representative of the opposition.
