Jai Balaji Group has three manufacturing units in Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal—two in Durgapur and one in Raniganj.
It also has one unit in Chhattisgarh. The Kolkata-based steelmaker is set to invest Rs 1,000 crore for capacity expansion and modernization of its four units in Bengal and Chhattisgarh over the next 12 months.
The company has also started exporting specialised ferro products to the UK and Australia from this July. About 90% of the investment would go for an upgrade of its two units in Durgapur.
Jai Balaji earned Rs. 550 crore revenue from exports in 2023. The company has set to increase revenue from exports to Rs 700-750 crore this year.
Jai Balaji exports specialised steel products to 42 countries, but more than 50% of the consignments go to Europe.
