Monoshij, the mental wellbeing platform of Techno India Group and a brainchild of Prof Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group recently organised the 3rd Edition of The Happiness Fair at Techno India University Campus to mark the International Day Of Happiness 2025. The inauguration of the fair was graced by Ms Sayani Palit, acclaimed Indian Classical Vocalist and Prof Manoshi Roy Chowdhury.
Every year, International Day of Happiness is celebrated to emphasise the importance of empathy and equality which can contribute for a formation of a better world and a safe place for everyone. The day aims to celebrate the spirit of joy and laughter which can bring peace and harmony amongst the entire human race. The theme for International Day Of Happiness 2025 is ‘Caring & Sharing”, the motto throws light on how much impactful a small act of generosity can be in shaping one’s life and can bring many positive changes around the corner.
“Through the Happiness Fair, we aim to foster a culture of kindness and emotional well-being, where every small act of generosity contributes to a more compassionate and joyful society”, said Prof Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, Co-chairperson, Techno India Group.
The 4th Edition of The Happiness Fair by Monoshij featured a series of remarkable dance, musical and instrumental performances by students from Techno Main Salt Lake, Techno India University and Techno India Group Public Schools Garia and Ariadaha, and TIGA South Kolkata. This was followed by the vibrant ‘Go As You Like’ costume walk evaluated by Dipankar Bhattacharya, Principal of TMSL and Ms. Debdutta Bera Adhya, Principal of TIGPS Ariadaha. Ms Sayani Palit an acclaimed Indian Classical and Semi Classical vocalist, performed a heartfelt rendition of ‘Ekla Cholo Re.’
Students from TIU’s Psychology Department presented interactive exhibits highlighting the role of community support in stress management, complemented by engaging hands-on activities. The art activity corner invited attendees to participate in spontaneous expressive tasks, while students from the Hospitality Department demonstrated their culinary expertise with a variety of delicacies ranging from chaat to sweets.

Enhancing the fair’s appeal, handcrafted jewellery from Shreya’s Creations and Anime and K-pop merchandise from Merch Maniac provided distinctive souvenirs.

The Happiness Fair by Monoshij is a humanitarian initiative which was first introduced in the year 2022. For the last three years the fair appeared to be immensely effective and successful. Every year the daylong celebration pledged to spread the universal message of To Be Happy and Make Others Happy. Allow them to live with peace, liberty and brotherhood.
