> “We have already announced that every resident above the age of 70 will be brought under Ayushman Bharat. Those who are not eligible under the scheme will receive coverage through the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme,” Adhikari said.
The proposed initiative, according to him, is aimed at ensuring that no deserving individual is denied access to medical treatment simply because they fall outside the eligibility criteria of the central programme.

Ayushman Diwas on August 16
Adhikari announced that August 16 will now be observed as Ayushman Diwas across the state.

> “There is absolutely no reason to worry. Everyone who is genuinely eligible will receive the benefit. Those who are ineligible will naturally be excluded after verification.”
According to him, verification and fresh applications will continue until August 30, allowing more beneficiaries to be included after scrutiny.
Adhikari claimed that each Assembly constituency has already enrolled between 35,000 and 40,000 women, adding that several more eligible applicants could still be accommodated once the verification process is completed.
